Alex Carr

Education Program Manager

Alex Carr is the education program manager at Stanford Impact Labs. She supports Stanford Impact Labs’ education programs, working with faculty, post-docs and students to promote and build capacity for implementing social impact research in partnership with policy makers and practitioners.

 

Prior to joining Stanford Impact Labs, Alex was director of operations at the Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts at the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy, leading the strategic development of programmatic initiatives and managing operations and communications. Previously, she has held roles at Drug Policy Alliance, the U.S. State Department, and Cornerstone Government Affairs. Alex started her career in education, teaching in Taiwan, Spain, and Minnesota.

 

Alex has a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in Latin American studies from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. Outside of work, Alex can be found dancing Cuban salsa and hip hop, traveling, hiking, and seeing live music.
